What's going on in my studio!

I’ve been busy working so I haven’t updated my blog recently. I’ve been painting more landscapes. Here’s my latest. I took some great photos by the Root River in southern Minnesota. These are “Blue Bells” I’m learning a lot about Southern Minnesota. I’m excited to enter the CPSA Midwest Color 2010 show, this will probably be one of my entries.

And a fresh coat of snow.  I’ve been busy working on “Grace”  below.  I really enjoyed working on her.  This was such an beautiful shot of her.  The photo was taken by “Country Photos”

The CPSA (Colored Pencil Society Association) International Art Show is coming up so I’ve been busy working on pieces that I might enter. 

Here’s a current graphite drawing of a Bulldog I did.  I think pet portraits look great in pencil.    Drawing is my favorite medium…has been since I was in highschool!  

I’ve added senior portraits to my photography portfolio.  Seniors want outdoor photos!  I agree!  Much more interesting than when I was in school.

Here’s one of the shots.  It was such a beautiful day and she had a great smile! 

I just completed a graphite portrait of some labs. Graphite looks so nice for pet portraits as you can see here.
This is a collage of two different labs. 

I’m so excited to take some family shots.    I think with all these sunny days we’ll have some great color.


I took this shot yesterday…my flowers are looking pretty drab without the rain, but I managed to get a beautiful shot of this one!

Had to post some recent photos I shot of this cute cute baby.  She’s definitely become one of my “feature” models! 

They are here.  We’ve been working on our raspberry bushes the last couple of years.  I just went out to enjoy a nice big handful!

I’m working on a floral colored pencil picture.  I should be done this week.  I also took some photo’s of an adorable baby yesterday, I will post those also.  

Had to take a photo of one…yummmm!!!

I finished the portrait of Olivia below for the online art contests:    I just loved her expression!    

We went to Ely over the weekend.  I took the girls to the American Bear Center.  It was fun.  We watched Ted and Lucky play.  We had a great view and I got a couple of nice shots.    Isn’t he cute?   Well from far away anyway

I am just about done with my portrait for 2 online artshows.    I will post as soon as it’s completed.
